A Survey Of Urban Residents' Altruistic Attitude

Altruism is a kind of pro-social behavior,compared with the high expectations of pro-social behavior,the level of altruistic attitude of urban residents seems to be decreasing.Improving the level of altruistic attitude is helpful to increase the altruistic behavior in society,which is not only conducive to the development of individual socialization,but also the social harmony and progress.Objective:In order to understand the present situation of urban residents' altruism,to explore the influence of altruistic attitude,and put forward some suggestions on this basis.Method:By using a self-designed questionnaire of urban residents' altruistic attitude questionnaire on 1283 subjects were investigated.The questionnaire was divided into four dimensions:altruism cognitive(9 items),Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.786;altruistic intention(5 items),Cronbach's alpha coefficient was0.772;altruistic behavior(4 items),Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.664;altruistic emotion(4 items),Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.687.After testing,the questionnaire had a good reliability and validity,and the results are verified and supplemented by interview method.Result:1?The total average score of urban residents' altruistic attitude reached4.12,all dimensions were greater than an average of 3 points,The numerical value in turn was altruistic cognition(4.50)>altruistic emotion(4.15)>altruistic intention(3.76)>altruistic behavior(3.71).2?There were significant differences in gender,age,blood donation experience,helped by strangers' experience,economic conditions,political status,mood pleasure conditions and occupational groups.However,there were not totally significant differences in the degree of education,whether there was a rescue certificate,help strangers' experience and religious beliefs.3?Through the analysis of the interviews revealed that in the common people in the context of altruism,altruistic attitude level was higher,but in the situation whichwe would pay more price to help others,people tended to be cautious,the actual level of altruism was lower than expected.Conclusion:1 ? The self-designed questionnaire of city residents altruistic attitude questionnaire had a good reliability and validity.It was suitable for the measurement of altruistic attitude of urban residents.2 ?Urban residents' altruistic attitude was at a high level,the awareness of altruistic was positive,and it was more likely to do altruistic behavior.3?The altruistic attitude of urban residents was influenced by gender,age,blood donation experience,helped by strangers' experience,economic conditions,political status,mood pleasure conditions,occupational groups and the features of help seekers.Altruistic behavior was influenced by not only altruistic attitude,but altruistic context,personality,cognition,ability and mass media.
