You Jin is a writer grew up in the rise early of Singapore’s local women writers and is good at writing a variety of literary genre works in Singapore’s Chinese literary writers.In addition to the travel notes and essays,her novels are equally compelling.Based on reflecting some social problems,You Jin’s novels described a group of teenagers faced with the confusion of life.They have cultural thoughts that mixed oriental and western,traditional and modern together.On the basis of the study of the texts,this paper combines the image and cross-cultural research methods,to summary the categories of teenagers in the works and analyzes the methods and causes of how did You Jin shaped the images.At the same time,to analyzes the exploration of Singapore’s Culture in the behind of the Image of Teernagers.This paper is mainly composed of the introduction,the first chapter,the second chapter,the third chapter and the conclusion.In the introduction,this paper presents the concept and purpose,sorts out the status quo of the topic at home and abroad,analyses the significance of this paper,and combs a few of concepts which is necessary to this chapter at the same time.To sum up that we can learn about You Jin’s world view arnd the Singapore’s female Chinese writers’creative styles,even the creation of Singapore’s Chinese literature through the study of the teenagers image in You Jin’s novels and the analysis of the contradiction of cultural identity.In the first chapter,we analyze and summarize the conflict factors of juvenile image of You Jin’s novels.The concrete manifestation is to abandon the first element,resist the second element,count that the juvenile’s disposition to the first element and the resistance to the second element is the attitude towards the family education and school education or Social education.The conflict between family education and school education is the conflict between secondary education and western education,that is,the conflict between oriental culture and western culture.The second chapter analyzes the constructors in the image of the teenagers combined with the author’s life-experiences,think that the absorption of the first element and the fusion of the second element are the emphasis of the author’s ideal of third element.In the third chapter,we explore the Singapore’s cultural factors and the ideal of Singapore’s cultural embodied by the author through analysis of the methods used to shape the image,which is divided into how to use materials,how to shape the typical,how to organize structure and how to set character.Think that You Jin has always been in the realism of the writing principle to shape the typical,and mix her thought of third element into teenagers of her novels at the same time,to do her best to explore the direction of Singapore’s culture.Some scholars worried about the trend of the multicultural when studied the Singapore’s literature culture.They said that the development of multicultural was likely to lead to the loss of tradition in Singapore’s literature culture.In the face of the culture integration with eastern and western,some Singaporeans regarded as freaks,and showed Deep worried about it.Under the third element’s creation,You Jin’s mind seemingly disagree with this concept,but we can see the relationship between them if we analysis it carefully.It is not difficult to find that the most fundamental of this group to reject the multicultural is worried about the loss of tradition.You Jin’s write on the third element is not to deny the tradition but to carry forward the tradition.From this point,we can see that You Jin’s concept of writing is a medicine to those skeptics which represents a new direction of development.
