| The copper instrument,or Da Tongqi,is a kind of folk musical instrument which is popular in Henan Province of China,especially in Suiping County,Xiping County,Luohe City and nearby places.In 2008,the copper instrument of Xiping was listed as the national intangible cultural heritage,making this ancient art of gong and drum thrive again,attracting more people focus on its inheritance and transmission and also challenges during this process.Taken Xiping County’s copper instrument as example,this thesis uses field investigation and questionnaire survey as the main research methods.I chose the villages of Yifeng and Gaohuaishu as the main destinations,because in the two villages,the copper instruments are developing prosperously.As contrast,I also visited a village next to Xiping County where the copper instrument also thrives well.It is called Caoji village located in Wugong Township,Wugang City.Meanwhile,I inspected the activities in the downtown of Xiping.During the field research,I gave out questionnaires and also used the online questionnaire system to help me to expand my samples.The main body of the thesis starts from the development history and status in quo of the copper instrument diachronically and synchronically.Next I study on the interpersonal and group communications as the way of inheritance as well as organization and mass communications as the way of transmission along with their effects and challenges.Then I analyze the critical points of the Xiping copper instrument’s inheritance and transmission and have offered some strategies in facing challenges,which has theoretical and practical meaning. |
