In the history of western philosophy, the study of time has almost the same distant origin as ontology. From ancient Greek philosophers to Kant,Bergson to Dilthey, the philosophers bring time into consideration from various dimensions, ranging from universe exploration to human nature reflection, etc.Gradually, they construct a relatively complete clue about the history of western philosophy's perception and inquiry on time.Time is a key word in the history of western philosophy, and its inquiry consists of man's effort on self-perception and world exploration. However,Martin Heidegger firmly believes that if philosophy truly takes existence into consideration as ontology,it must set about from the time problem.Although the main line in western philosophy history is the subject about the discourse of existence, and the study of existence. However,in Heidegger's view, from Plato,Aristotle,to Hegel,a fundamental mistake occurs in the traditional metaphysics. That is,before understanding how the existence exists, its existence has already been assumed, the study of existence rather than the study of existence itself.According to Heidegger, exist and existence has a strict difference, all existence must exist, and then it can be a real existence.Based on the perspective of Heidegger's ontology, the thesis tries to start from the perspectives of Heidegger's nature, features and meaning of time.It interprets Heidegger's time view through comparing Heidegger's theory of time with other philosophers'theory of time.In general, this thesis is divided into five parts.Specifically, the main parts are as follows:The first part is introduction,it renders a brief introduction about the reasons, significance of the topic, its research home and abroad, and so on.The second part is a sketch about western philosophers' research status on time before Heidegger,a clue on the theory of time in the history of western philosophy. In this way,it clarifies the theory of time and its core category in different historical time, points out different features in different period of time problems, and depicts the dilemma and the issues of different time theories. The third part starts from the background of Heidegger's theory of time, his criticism on traditional theory of time, and relates his sublation on Husserl's theory of time to review the origin of Heidegger's theory of time. The fourth part expounds the theory of time in Heidegger's ontology from the aspects of time's nature, features, and meaning. The fifth part is a comment on Heidegger's theory of time, its influences and limitations, and how to treat his theory of time objectively.Heidegger's view of time has profoundly grasped the foundation of human existence, which is of great significance of us to understand our own place. His theory of time is neither Aristotle's physical theory of time as an even passage of an object, nor Kant's epistemological theory of time as congenital conditions to sensory perception, but a theory of time in the ontological sense.
