11-18th Century London Development And Relationship With The Surrounding Area

London,the capital of Britain,is also the center of politics,economy and culture.It is also one of the most influential cities in Europe and even in the history of the world.London was gradually established in the 11-18 century as a national economic center.In the course of the development of London,this paper focuses on the relationship between London and its surrounding areas from two aspects:the economic hinterland and the population:London was in a relatively independent state before the Norman Conquest;In the 11-15 century,in a special historical process of turbulence and progress,London established a relatively stable economic hinterland in its surrounding areas;In the 16-18 century,the pre-industrial London saw the whole of England as the hinterland,widely grabbing its population and resources and rapidly expanding into a metropolis.This paper attempts to analyze the influence of this metropolis on Britain from the change of the relationship between London and its surrounding areas.This thesis consists of three chapters,the first chapter reviews the development status of London before 10th Century,explains its historical tradition and objective advantages,discusses the development of British Rome period and the Anglo Saxon period,linked to the development of historical period and later,that can have the status after London is not accidental.In the second chapter.the connection between London and the surrounding areas is strengthened by providing an indispensable link between London’s food supply and the resulting London and its economic hinterland.The third chapter is the focus of this paper,the process of the surrounding population migration to London in the London city put expansion in research,analysis of the causes of migration and the change of population structure,analysis how to become London formed a national economic center and commercial network.In conclusion,after summing up the full text,we further discuss that London’s development is from Britain to the world,thus growing into an international metropolis.
