Edvard Hagerup Grieg(June 15,1843-September 4,1907)is one of the important characters of Norway music history in the second half of the 19 th century,the founder of the Norwegian folk sent.Grieg`s works combining traditional and romantic,drawing on the Norwegian folk music culture and on the basis of full of the unique personal temperament and strong patriotic enthusiasm.As a late romanticism composer,Grieg`s violin sonata has a special position in the field of its creation and profound influence on later generations.The no.3 violin sonata in c minor was created in Grieg`s creation of the late and took his huge time and energy.Compared with the former two violin sonatas,this sonata based on the traditional music style of Norway,joined the bright individual style and reflected Grieg`s creation of profundity.This article consists of four chapters: The first chapter is about Edvard Hagerup Grieg and no.3 violin sonata in c minor,including Grieg`s life and the creation background of the work;The second chapter is about the analysis of musical form structure and the playing method for the first movement;The third chapter is about the analysis of musical form structure and the playing method for the first movement;The fourth chapter is about the analysis of musical form structure and the playing method for the first movement.Under the guidance of tutor,after actual practicing and playing this sonata in the concert,I summarize some solutions for this sonata`s difficult points and hope to bring some help to all the readers and learners.
