This translation report is based on the Title III-General of Clean Air Act.From the Air Pollution Control Act in 1955,the Air Quality Act in 1963,and the major amendments to the law passed in 1970,1977 and 1990,the Clean Air Act has been improved and perfected.The Clean Air Act defines European Protection Agency's responsibilities for protecting and improving the nation's air quality and the stratospheric ozone layer which establishes a series of effective principle after half-century development,such as the citizen suits promoted by the law that the citizen has the authority to bring civil action against the United States,any other governmental agency,the administrator or a state with respect to the pollution emission standard.After analyzing the text features of English laws and regulations,the report discusses some translation strategies of the legal terms in the environmental context and the parallel structures.Finally,the translation report summarizes the translation principles of accuracy,consistency and specialization,which are expected to be applied in legal translation in order to make the translation accurate and professional.It is hoped that this translation report can provide unique insight into adapting the translation practice of similar texts.
