The Guangdong branch of Chinese Alliance is the provincially local organization of Chinese Alliance established by revolutionists like Hu Hanmin after Guandong-recovery.It survived about two years from the very beginning establishment in November,1911 to the complete forces-eradication of the Chinese Kuomintang within Guangdong province after the failure of The Second Revolution, before which,it has renamed as the Guangdong Branch of Chinese Kuomintang in January,1913.During this period, the Guangdong branch of Chinese Alliance undergone the role transition from a secret revolutionary organization to a public government, from a public government to a in-system parliamentary party. To consolidate the revolutionary achievements of Guangdong revolutionists, the Guangdong branch of Chinese Alliance established several subordinate organizations including various sub-branches and subsections to infiltrate its influences into grass-roots unit;besides,it extensively absorbed the influential senators, officials and socialites to the organization to make sure all-level local regimes were in their hands;moreover,it transformed from revolutionary part to parliamentary part to adjust to the Kuomintang’s dream of establishing a responsible cabinet. As the significant carrier of the construction of Guangdong democratic regime at the early republican period, the Guangdong branch of Chinese Alliance achieved the victory of Guangdong parliamentary election and transplanted the western parliamentary system into Guangdong successfully, however,it got out of the control of Guangdong during The Second Revolution. This failure,on one hand,is the result of the revolutionists’ cognitional as well as strategic fault,on the other hand, proved that it was impractical for China at that time to take the road of western competitive party politics.
