"Dance with the mat as the lion" as the traditional folk dance in Meizhou City,Guangdong Province,is a representative of the South of the Five Ridges dance intangible cultural heritage.With the development of society,"dance with the mat as the lion" religious properties increasingly declining,which also affected its social value.How to better inherit this intangible cultural heritage,make it glowing better and better,show the value of modern art and social value,is worthy of study and discussion of academic propositions.How to better pass the non-material cultural heritage,make bright art of the New Year,show the modern art value and social value,is worthy of study and discussion of academic thesis.The author through the pastoral survey and field visits the birthplace and the successor of "dance with the mat as the lion",after has a more intuitive understanding in the "dance with the mat as the lion",have analyzed "dance with the mat as the lion" art form and Connotation in the use of folklore and visual symbols of the relevant theory.On this basis,I try to create the dance work "Dance on Summer" from the perspective of contemporary visual interpretation and "dance with the mat as the lion" as the artistic element,and make a rational combing of "contemporary visual interpretation".First,from the perspective of folk culture,the aesthetic style of "dance with the mat as the lion" is analyzed,and the influence of religious customs,regional culture and artistic personality on the formation and consolidation of the " Folklore Traits of Religious Activities in Xianghua Buddhism.Second,to contemporary visual remodeling "dance with the mat as the lion " stage image.Creative use of artistic means to retain the image of the lion,rich form of presentation.On the basis of inheriting South of the Five Ridges' character,I develop the vocabulary of action,and according to the law of art,innovate the visual symbol,and put forward the new concept of folklore prose stage,ancient art of action and image creation.Focusing on props,movements,space,efficiency and other aspects of the technical of the in-depth study.More clearly realized the interpretation of the theme of dance works and emotional interpretation.Thirdly,it discusses the significance of contemporary visual interpretation from the aspects of highlighting the characteristics of folklore symbols and the artistic aesthetics of folklore dance.It also summarizes the contemporary vision of "dance with the mat as the lion" On the basis of interpretation of the experience,on the development and updating of non-heritage folk dance heritage approach put forward their own views and suggestions.
