Discussion On The Art Of Zhang Xiaofeng's Prose

Zhang Xiaofeng is an outstanding authoress among the third-generation essayists in Taiwan.Her prose is both large in quantity and great in quality,featuring sincere emotion,refreshing style of writing,profound thought and broad vision.Whether in topic selection,language utilization or tolerance expansion,her works strike out a new path in aesthetic style.Drawing upon classical and modern literature,Zhang Xiaofeng has never stopped her exploration into the aesthetic realm of prose art and ultimate significance of life with intrinsic dexterity and concern unique in female writers as well as rare generosity and erudition.Her style of writing is either expressive or far-reaching,unfolding artistic works one after another for readers.This thesis mainly discusses the art of prose creation of Zhang Xiaofeng in three parts.Chapter one pays attention to the shaping of her prose aesthetic prospect and discovers three-step progressive beauty of integrated emotion and scenario,namely natural beauty,livening beauty and flowery beauty.Besides,it also explores into the classification and composition of the “poetry prospect” in her prose,and dissects her artistic experience attached to classics.Chapter two looks into the writing of artistic character in Zhang Xiaofeng's prose,understands her worldly and struggling female identity,heavy and empty wanderer identity,and intelligent and guileful writer identity,so as to obtain a fundamental understanding of her artistic style as a writer.Chapter three introduces the writing and life philosophy from the perspective of the soul in her prose,including the spatial and temporal design,general public as well as the fundamental significance of the inner self in writer,with a view to building the unique aesthetic world view of Zhang Xiaofeng.
