Art Research On Wang Xiumei’s Novels

This thesis takes Wang Xiumei’s novels as the research object,and discusses it from four aspects.First of all,the thesis discusses the novel types of themes of Wang Xiumei’s novels.This chapter is divided into three sections,the first section analyzes the types of themes of Wang Xiumei’s short stories,divided into thriller suspense novels,urban emotional novels and other types of novels.The second section analyzes the types of themes of Wang Xiumei’s medium-length novels and short stories,and divided into three types of thriller suspense novels,urban emotional novels and revolutionary historical novels.The third section summarizes the novelty and profundity of the types of themes of Wang Xiumei’s novels.In this chapter,it’s to grasp the characteristic of themes of Wang Xiumei’s novels,and also discusses the development course of her creation and change.Based on the analysis of the types of themes of Wang Xiumei’s novels,and combined with the special regional cultural characteristics of Wang Xiumei’s novels in Jiaodong.The second part of the thesis discusses the space narrative of Wang Xiumei’s novels under the female consciousness.This chapter is divided into two sections.The first section analyzes the physical space in Wang Xiumei’s novels,that is,the macroscopic physical space and the microscopic physical space.The physical space is not only the background of the story,but also participate in narrative process and focus time,and there is a specific symbolic metaphor,which plays an important role in the interpretation of the theme of the text.The second section analyzes the virtual space in Wang Xiumei’s novels,that is,the conscious and unconscious mental space.it’s to reveal the multiple meanings of the space narrative and analysis deeply of urban men and women which show resilience and forbear attitude towards life.So as to cause readers to think about the living space and living predicament of urban men and women.Thirdly,the thesis discusses the narrative of time under Wang Xiumei’s novels,the narrative time structure and the time treatment reflect Wang Xiumei’s pioneering significance in Shandong writers group and Jiaodong writers group.This chapter is divided into two sections,The first section analyzes the three types of narrative time structure in Wang Xiumei’s novels,such as the horizontal expansion,the vertical expansion and the double line expansion,and grasps the flexible narrative time structure of Wang Xiumei’s novels.The second section analyzes the time treatment in Wang Xiumei’s novels,from the aspects of time sequence,time distance and time frequency.The chronological disorder reflects the postmodern view of time of Wang Xiumei’s.The acceleration of the omitted narrative and the mitigation of the scene narrative reflects the aesthetic tension between the narrative rhythm and the story rhythm.The repetition of words,sentences,events,plots and scenes reflects Wang Xiumei’s pursuit of the novel implication and the whole space scene.In the fourth part of the thesis,the author discusses the image narrative of Wang Xiumei’s novels under the poetic contemplation,compared with other writers in Shandong,the features of Wang Xiumei’s images are distinct,which gives the text a poetic effect.This chapter is divided into three sections.In the first section,the author makes an analysis of the distinctive images,that is,the image of nature,the image of the home furnishing,the image of the society and the image of the imaginary.The second section analyzes the connotation of the main image of Wang Xiumei’s novels: the image of "hole" and "train" to explain the theme of searching,the image of "knife" and "Snow" to explain the theme of resistance,and the image of "sophora flower village" to explain the theme of escaping.The third section analyzes the organization and artistic effect of images in Wang Xiumei’s novels,and discusses the causes of the formation of poetic world and aesthetic tension.In the last part of the thesis,combined with Wang Xiumei’s life experience,the author put her in the creation and cultural background of the Shandong writers and Jiaodong writers to analyzes the unique significance of her writing,and discusses the future of her novels.Through these,this paper tries to understand and analyze completely the status and significance of her writing in Chinese contemporary literature.
