Tao Te Ching,a book which imparts a deep meaning with only a few simple words,has the power to affect various aspects of people's life.It provides us with unique systems of morality in methodology to solve ethical problems.To in time of today's ethic crisis,people almost inevitably turn their sights to the book.The book written by Laocius,contains two main parts,about 5000 words,expound to The “Tao Te” Theories.The word “Tao” in Tao Te Ching is not only the origin of all things in the universe,but also the law of the movement of all nature.The word “De” is divided into two implications,one is the nature of the world and the internal law of development of things,the other is moral qualities that people need to possess in social life.The second “De” close to what is today called "morality".The thoughts of Laocius' s “Dao De” is the product of a particular social and cultural environment,with its limitations of the times.In the book of Tao Te Ching,the thoughts of “Dao De” has been interpreted from four aspects: the moral relationship between man and himself,man and other people,one and society.,man and nature.In terms of human-self relationship,Laocius held that men should be sensible enough to know themselves.During communication one need learn to be content and honest,to distinguish between good and evil.Only then can we achieve harmony.Laocius emphasized political morality to handle peoplesociety relationship.He believed that governors should proceed on the political philosophy,“inaction” out of “inaction and all action”,which means that all classes of people should be weighed equally.Besides,rulers also should safeguard peace and avoid violence.Handling the relationship between man and nature,we should have the whole consciousness,and treat nature naturally.And people also should persist in systematic,equal,appropriate and harmonious principles.It can help to achieve harmony between man and nature.During the process of transmission,Laocius' s thoughts of “Dao De” has been gradually internalized to be thought and behavior patterns,externalized to be social guiding ideology.Moral socialization made it still have realistic significance.It is beneficial to alleviate the growing current ethic crisis and to built a harmonious society.Besides,it will play an irreplaceable role in improving modern Chinese moral system and promoting inside moral realm of the nation.
