| Chiang Ching-kuo ruled Taiwan for 16 years from his taking office as Premier of the Republic of China in 1972 until his death in 1988. In his direct leadership in the 16 years, not only Kuomintang itself developed a lot, accomplishing the great changes of localization and lowering the average age of the leadership, but also the economy of Taiwan underwent major development. It's of great theoretical and practical significance to study the party building thoughts of Chiang Ching-kuo in the period of their return power now and to sum up their experience to provide useful lessons for the Chinese Communist Party.In this paper, the author tries to study Chiang Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts from five aspects: the first part elaborates the background of Chiang Ching-kuo's Party Building ideology from the historical perspective; the second part fundamentally elaborates the ideological origin of Chiang Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts; the third part, which is also one of the focuses of the paper, goes on elaborating the main contents of Chiang Ching-kuo's Party Building ideology. The paper constructs the whole Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts from the aspects of ideological, organizational and work style construction; the fourth part illustrates the main features of Chiang Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts. This is also one of the focuses of the paper. The unity of times and reality, of succession and development, the inclusion of tyranny and democracy made the Chiang Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts exhibit multiplicity. The last part makes a comprehensive assessment of Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts. Hopefully the paper will provide useful lessons for Chinese Communist Party building by analyzing both the positive and the negative aspects of Ching-kuo's Party Building thoughts. |
