| Although as for a famous writer in Britain,V.S.Naipaul’s Hindu descent and immigration experience made him isolated to the British upper classes.After being through all these entanglement,struggling and thinking,Naipaul finally decided to face the scourge and the suffering,made a cultural trip to search for the roots.Therefore,his most extraordinary work Indian Trilogy emerged: An Earn of Darkness,India: A wounded Civilization,A Million Mutinies Now.Over the years,from eliminate,conflict to self-identity,the writer has brought him and India closer together and also made the readers reacquaint the India.Based on the present study,this paper will use the post-colonial theory to interpret and analyze V.S.Naipaul’s Indian Trilogy.Married with an excellent ideological value,social value,and literary value in V.S.Naipaul’s work in Post-colonial Times,this paper made a profound thinking towards the rebuild of India and its development.Hopefully,this paper can provide some reference value to other Post-colonialism country and ethnic group.This dissertation is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly introduce the basic theory,Indian Trilogy,and author’s general situation.The body part includes the rest three parts.The first chapter: an obituary world.Based on An Earn of Darkness,its analyzes the attitude and value of Indian’s and reflects a huge impact and diversity toward V.S.Naipaul’s western rational mind.The second chapter: self-destruction of its culture.This chapter based on the book India: A wounded Civilization,focuses on the criticism of India’s national character and the blind aimless of India’s traditional culture.The third chapter: collected passion of homeland.This part is mainly explains how does all these aspects of India will get a huge change and a great progress when Naipaul returned his hometown in the third time.Finally,after all the serial of analysis,the last part will list some construction suggestion which presented by V.S.Naipaul. |
