Economic globalization has seen a close commercial ties between different countries, due to the fact that the financial news hits the headlines of various media and thus the translation of financial news has also become heated accordingly. The translation process in this report is broken down into two steps, first is to translate, and the second is to edit. The two phases are interdependent, combining literal translation and free translation together.Financial news is under the category of hard news, featuring serious subject matters with focus on ideology, instruction and knowledge. However,it has involved more and more interesting and popular elements as required by times. Therefore the translation plus proper editing can give full play to the translator's subjectivity, delivering news in a true and objective way, with the purposiveness considered as well.It has been proven that dynamic translation is of profound significance for the translators. In the Relevance-adaptation Translation Model, the writer of the report acts as the intermediary between different cultures, trying to find the optimal relevance in the original text and choose the language in a variable, negotiable and adaptable way when translating. The process of financial news translation can be divided into discourse-interpreting and discourse-producing.The former can be better expounded by Relevance Theory;the latter Theory of Linguistic Adaption. It is based on this principle that the report has selected specific examples for further analysis, from which some conclusions can be drawn and used as reference for future practice.
