This paper chooses a group of prepositions "Wei" and "Ti" as research target,because these words are easy to be confused by English-speaking foreign students.Then this paper compares the differences between semantics and syntactic in Chinese "Wei","Ti" and its English counterparts.At the same time,combined with the errors in the Writing corpus of the students in the English-speaking countries,this paper analyzes the reasons for the students’ errors in learning "Wei"and "Ti".Finally,the paper puts forward the teaching suggestions of"Wei" and "Ti" in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The first part of this paper introduces the reason,the research method,the theoretical basis and the corpus source.The second part and the third part,from the perspective of contrast between English and Chinese,analyzes the similarities and differences between Chinese prepositions "Wei","Ti" corresponding to English in semantics and syntax.The fourth part analyzes the errors caused by the prepositions "Wei"and "Ti" in the English-speaking countries.Furthermore,this article summarizes the types of errors,and analyzes the causes of errors in students’ essay corpus from three aspects:interdisciplinary migration,intra-language migration,and annotations in dictionaries and textbooks.The fifth part puts forward some suggestions on teaching materials and teachers’ teaching from the perspective of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The conclusion summarizes the full text and points out the shortcomings of this paper.
