Discussion On Mechanism Of Social Networking Addiction-Social Anxiety,Craving And Excitability

With the popularization of Internet,social networking has become a new way of interpersonal communication.The social network has become a widely used tool in college students.These social tools bring convenience and fulfill psychological needs of college students,but it is also likely to make them indulged to establish and develop interpersonal relationship online.However,the contemporary literature about addictive qualities of online social networks is scarce.Craving is one of the core features of addictive disorders.Psychological craving refers to the impulse to conduct addictive behavior that one cannot restrain,which is a subjective motivational state or a subjective desire,or experience that individuals want to repeat addictive behaviors again.It is one of the core issues that researchers concerned.In previous research of Internet addiction,there is little research on social network addiction and production of related desire.Changing regulars and excitability of individuals are greatly lack.What’s more,there is still a lack of research on the relationship between social network addiction and social anxiety.Therefore,the effect of different materials on desire and excitability of social network addicts were aimed.The relationship between social anxiety and addictive trend was researched to find out the mechanism of producing and maintaining social network addiction,offering suggestion on influencing social network addiction.Existed clues exposure was used in the first research,using social-network-related text materials to stimulate the desire of using online social communities.At the same time,the changing regulars can be found to discuss the relationship between excitability and social anxiety and find the effect of text stimulation on social network addicts.Existed clues exposure was also used in the second research.Stimulated pictures of social networks were used to stimulate the desire of individuals.By this mean,changing regulars of desire and excitability can be found to discuss the effect of picture stimulation on social network addicts.Results are shown below:1.Both the text and images of Internet relationship can be applied as stimulation.Compared with neutral stimulus,stimulation of Internet relationship can effectively stimulate the desire of Internet relationship using;2.As for the desire stimulated by social networks,high-score group is significantly higher than low-score group;3.Experimental materials have remarkable differences,image experiment material desire feeling level and the text material after testing desire feeling that there was a great difference between picture stimulate desire are higher than text arouse desire feeling,it shows better pictures than words.4.As for Internet relationship excitability,high-score group is significantly higher than low-score group.
