The Study On Agate Products In Liao Dynasty

The research of Liao Dynasty agate products is a part of the study of jade in Liao Dynasty,its systematic study will enrich the connotation of national jade.Based on the archaeological discoveries of agate products in Liao Dynasty,this paper analyzed the types of agate products in Liao Dynasty,the paper also demonstrated the origin of agate and its products according to some basic historical documents and discussed the aesthetic characteristics of agate in Khitan Liao State on the basis of analyzing their cultural factors.This paper was summarized on the archaeological discoveries of agate products in Liao Dynasty,and the agate found in tomb,pagoda and cellar were listed.This paper also analyzed the types of agate products from two aspects:the religious implements and secular implements.Through the discussion of the function of the agate products,the cultural factors of them are explained,including the Buddhist culture,the nomadic culture,the Central Plains culture and the western culture.Besides,this paper explored the historical literature of the origin of the Liao Dynasty agate and listed the three theories of the west,the south and the locals for reference respectively.Discusses the Liao Dynasty unique agate arm model object function.The author analyzed the aesthetic of the agate in the Liao Dynasty from the perspectives of types,textures and colors,the classification of the types were consistent with the cultural factors and aesthetic.The use of the Liao Dynasty agate was in the development of Chinese jade tide,which had far-reaching impact on future generations.
