| Nostalgia is a kind of sentimental longing for the past,which plays a significant role in the life of old people.The study was designed to set up an Affective Picture Stimulate Material System of nostalgia and preliminarily discuss the subjective experience and emotional reaction of autonomic nerve induced by the picture.In Study 1,we identified the nostalgia object of old people by an interview,and collected the pictures wildly.Then we invited 240 elderly people to participate in the questionnaire survey,rating the degree of nostalgia,valence,arousal and dominance of picture(1 is the weakest,5 is the strongest).Finally we set up an Affective Picture Stimulate Material System,including neutral nostalgia,positive nostalgia and negative nostalgia.On this basis,psychological physiology experiment method was used to investigate the link between personality and physical arousal during nostalgia as well as subjective experience.The experimental design was a 2(gender:male,female)×3(picture type:neutral nostalgia,positive nostalgia negative nostalgia)mixed factorial.The MP150 data acquisition and analyze system was used to collect skin conductance response and heart rate of 32 elderly.Participants were 17 male and 15 female old people.Emotional changes before and after watching different kinds of pictures were assessed by using a self-report inventory,which contained 5emotional states:happiness,anger,disgust,surprise and sadness.The results showed that:(1)The nostalgia of elderly between sexes was not significant.(2)There were significant positive correlation between nostalgia and behavioral inhibition.The stronger the avoidance motivation,the higher level of behavioral inhibition,and the participants will experience more intense of negative nostalgia. |
