“Nostalgia” Feelings In Children’s Picture Books

With their vivid picture narrative ability,the picture books develop vigorously in the current era of picture reading,while the creation of the original Chinese picture books is still small compared to the whole market.As an original Chinese picture book,created and published by Zhou Xiang in 2006,"Morning Market in Lotus Town" presents a diversified and three-dimensional water town in the south of the Yangtze River by a simple and warm story.Take "Morning Market in Lotus Town" as an example,analyze the efforts of saying good Chinese stories,show Chinese feelings;use Chinese ink,spread Chinese style;draw Chinese objects and reproduce the beautiful scenery of China.Based with the author’s field research and investigation on the regional culture of northern Fujian in recent years,we explore the feasibility and difficulty of integrating the regional culture into the creation of picture book creation.Finally,from the perspective of readers,I think about how to realize the "teaching with fun" and emotion substitution function of picture book pictures.
