China's current art education in high school is dominated by pure art and appreciation class,and the relatively weak content of practical art education has much room for improvement.And as a highly identified curriculum of practicality and artistry,the jewelry design is not only conform to the high school students' pursuit of individual beauty,but also can help them release pressure,create emotions and achieve self-worth by artistic forms.Now Xue jun High School in Hangzhou has set up the selective course of jewelry design,collecting the data of interviews,case,and observations,and conducting the descriptive analysis of the questionnaire study of students,teachers' interviews,and consumers' interviews were studied by myself.The opening of jewelry design in current art education in high school has been widely supported in many aspects,but also has its disadvantages,for instance high school students' comprehending deviations of jewelry concept,some certain limitations of the implementation of the jewelry design course,etc.Based On this,the targeted and concrete jewelry design course was devised:Jewelry Design –Foundation Course,Jewelry Design – Impression of West Lake,Jewelry Design-Mother's Day Gift,and fairs.The fundamental goals,design ideas,and suggestions of the course development of jewelry design in high school art education were put forward in the practice of teaching.The author thinks that when their works are recognized by others,especially approved by the society,it will boost their confidence in the process of high school students' jewelry design course,and the originality of works bears a direct relationship with expectations of the degree of their psychological release.
