The Techniques And Artistic Style Of Chongqing Leaf Painting

Chongqing Leaf Painting is an integral part of Chongqing traditional folk art.With a strong tie to the Sichuan and Chongqing culture,it not only witnesses the social changes of Chongqing,but also serves as a mirror of local customs,and people’s artistic life.The strong geographical characteristics and local style give Chongqing Leaf Painting rich historical and artisticvalue,a distinctive scene in Chongqing’s folk art thanks to the unique techniques and artistic style it applies.This paper examines the historical evolution of Chongqing Leaf Painting,based on extensive research and field works.Via field work,the unique procedures and techniques of producing Leaf Painting were investigated and summarized.From the perspective of iconography,it delves into the artistic styles of Lead Painting and summarizes the main themes which include architecture,landscape,character and creatures.It also studies its aesthetic value from the composition of pictures,shapes,and colors.This paper aims to strengthen the theoretical foundation of protecting this form of art,and more importantly to examine the new ways of developing and maintaining this unique form of art.
