In this study, the research objects are determined based on the “Applied Chinese Dictionary”.Firstly we confirmed "black, white, yellow, red, green and blue" as the six basis one-tone color adjectives, then we found out all the corresponding two-tone color adjectives from the "Applied Chinese Dictionary".Under the direction of integrating synchronic study with diachronic study, based on specific corpus,we studied the six basis color adjectives' diachronic evolution process, and analysed the syntax and semantic changes caused by the course of diphonia.Chapter one describes the reasons why we choose this topic, summarizes the relevant research status, introduces the research object, research methods and corpus sources.Chapter two analysis the syntax differences between one-tone color adjectives and two-tone adjectives from synchronic approach.Syntax differences we mainly describes from Syntactic positions,Sentences patterns and syntactic function those three aspects.Chapter three describes the semantic differences between one-tone color adjectives and two-tone adjectivesChapter four analysis six two-tone color adjectives' bisyllablization process from diachronic approach. Those six two-tone adjectives are “xu?bái,q?h?i,xi?nhóng,j?nhuáng,cuìl? and bìlán”.Chaper five summarizes the problems and conclusions drawn from the study, pointing out the shortcomings of the thesis.
