| In recent years,people have been increasingly concerned about health and safety.Accordingly,there have been increasing researches on such issues.Zika virus has been threatening several countries.And it may spread in the world.The writer of this report translated 6 Zika virus articles in CDC website into Chinese.On the basis of the translation,analysis is made on the translation process in this report.This translation practice report is mainly composed of four parts--the translation task description,the translation process description,the translation case analysis and the translation practice summary.The translation task description part presents the translation task background and the nature of the task.The translation procedure description part is a specific introduction to the procedure of the translation.The translation case analysis part analyzes the corresponding expressions of the proper nouns involved in the translation practice,the understanding and expression of the words and phrases and the processing of long sentences.In the translation of proper nouns,there are two or more translations of the same name.It is difficult to find the corresponding Chinese translation.In the understanding and expression of words and phrases,a word and a phrase may have two or more meanings.It is difficult to grasp the structure of certain long sentences.The solutions are analyzed and the translation strategies used in solving such problems are discussed.The practice summary part makes a summary of the unsolved problems such as the inefficiency in translation,the lack of net surfing skills and the lack of background knowledge.It is hoped that this report can be helpful for such translating activities. |
