An Archaeological Study On Musical And Dance Pictures Unearthed Of Tang Dynasty Tombs

Musical and dance pictures play an important role in decorations of wall surfaces in Tang dynasty tombs.The purpose of this article is to present and research them systematacially.There are three main aspects of the research:First,research musical and dance pictures in the burial space.From the available data,musical and dance pictures distribute in Xi’an intensively.They distribute in the seventh century and eighth century on the time.Musical and dance pictures of Tang Dynasty are typical at Xi’an.They are not prominent and fixed location in the murals;women players;konghou,pipa,paixiao are common instrument;the dancers appeare on the side of the musicians in the form of a dance;the players are not compact with other handmaid;they are not relatively independent fresco content.They are in a period of great prosperity in eighth century;they are dependent decorative content on the east wall;men players;there are many Hu people in the band;the combination of instruments tends to be fixed;three fraction composition;compact layout;the dancers are in the middle;some of them appear in some screen painting.The number of the pictures are rare in the ninth century.The sight of dancing is hard to see like eighth century.In terms of geographical distribution,the musical and dance pictures in xi ’an region have had a certain effect on other areas;In terms of grade,they appear in the graves of officials who are above five;they have the orientation of the identity of the tomb.Secondly,research on the specific content of the music dance.The instruments involved in the music dance are honghou,singing pipa,five strings,qin,yunhe,zheng,sheng,paixiao,hengdi,xiao,bili,chiba,bei,paiban,brass cymbal,drum,panpi,yaogu,qing;the dances include soft dance,vigorous dancing,song and dance drama;Huteng dance,Huxuan dance and Zhezhi dance,Tayaoniang are very popular in Tang Dynasty.Different styles of music dance reflect different styles of music.In the eighth century,a kind of Chinese and foreign union,hu han blends the style of music has formed.On the whole,Tang’s tomb dance chart is mainly performed by the aristocratic family dance.Finally,inspect the music and dance pictures’ transformation in tombs between Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty.From the combination instrument,performance way,property,record of musician three respects,to state the changes which is from aristocratic to plebification,domestic to san music in Tang,Wudai,Liao,Song Dynasty.
