Comparative Study On The Phonology Between Qinzhou City Dialect And Lianzhou Country Dialect

This thesis investigates two typical Cantonese sites in Qinlian Delect,Qinzhou city dialect and Lianzhou town dialect roundly,and take a descriptive and comparative study focus on their phonology.Base on the first-hand survey data,we try to reveal comprehensive description and contrast about these two Cantonese sites’ phonology.And then summarize the phonetic features and characteristic from a historical perspective,in order to provide the first-hand corpus for the comparative study on Cantonses phonology in Guangxi.On the other hand,offer scientific evidences for the intenal partition of Guangxi Cantonese,also provide more theoretical foundation for Contact theory.This thesis is made up of six parts:The first chapter mainly introduce geographic environment,the evolution of the official organizational system and language using.It has also made a presentation of the research status,the importance,the aim and the methods of my research.lt also explain the dialect material resources referred to and the symbols’s significance in this paper.The second chapter introduced the phonetic features of Qinzhou city dialect and Lianzhou town dialect of their initials,finals and tones.A collocation table of the three elements of speech sounds is included.A diachronic comparison of its phonetic system was made thereafter.The third chapter is focus on comparative phonology systems between destination dialects and Ancient Chinese phonology system.Aferward reveal the phonetic feayures about Qinzhou city dialect and Lianzhou town dialect.Chapter Four is mainly on the phonetic systems comparison of Qinzhou city dialect,Lianzhou country dialect and peripheral region which are representative including Guangzhou Cantonese,Pinghua dialect in Tingzi,Hakka dialect in Shahe town Bobai,Yulin Cantonese,Guigang dialect,Nanning Cantonese,.Not only compare of sounds systems,but also choose important relative variable of phonetic features.Try to figure out the dialects in more immediate way and get the situations of their contact conditions..Through the quantitative analysis of them to get more intuitive view of close and distant relationship.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this thesis.Base on the analysis result of the comparative study,summarize the phonology features and get the characteristics and rules of language contact.At last take a discussion about question of belongingness.The last part is the Appendix.There are the homophone character tables of Qinzhou Cantonese dialect and Lianzhou towm Cantonese dialect.
