Contemporary Observation Of Folk Belief Life

Since the beginning of the twenty-first century,the study of folk beliefs can be said to be hot,and the research results are rich.But most of these studies are concerned about the southeast coastal areas and the special region,the academic community for the Northwest region is still less concerned.While the northwest region is complex because of the religious and ethnic situation,folk beliefs in the local society have more special significance.Therefore this article is mainly to Longxi County,Gansu Province as the research site for field investigation,to explore the traditional inheritance and contemporary changes of the local folk life.This article mainly discusses the basic state of the local folk belief from the origin of the believers and the construction of the meaning.Beliefs began to believe mainly because of the family environment,the physical condition,the family changes,and the intimate relationship.And make the psychological expectations,the elimination of fear,the interpretation of life,and the ultimate pursuit as the main aspects of the meaning of faith.Through observation of the above-mentioned two aspects of believes’ origin and meaning construction,we obtained the overall observation of Longxi local folk beliefs and contemporary change.The author also explores the interaction and communication between the practitioners of folk beliefs and their surroundings from four aspects:conflict,reconciliation,eating meat or not,and private turn,and discusses the self-cognition of folk believers.The social space of the existence of folk beliefs may have become smaller and smaller.We should distinguish the religion from the folk beliefs.Religious revival has a direct contact to the current social impetuous,widening gap between rich and poor and the lack of spiritual or cultural consumption.Relevant departments of the country should also pay attention to this situation,to guide its contribution to a socialist harmonious society.
