Calligraphy represents the artistic form of Chinese characters and it is also an important carrier for the inheritance and development of Chinese culture.Bamboo Slips, the artistic treasures left by ancient ancestors, provide the first-hand academic information for us to study the situation of ancient writing and the way of thinking. The lexical deformation presented in the Bamboo Slips is closely concerned with the situation of daily writing of the writers in Qin and Han dynasties. Therefore,it is essential and necessary to account for the internal relationship between lexical deformation and the situation of daily writing, which will promotes us to have a better understanding of the evolution of Chinese calligraphy.Although some scholars have conducted relevant research on the Bamboo Slips of the Qin and Han Dynasties, they just focus on the authenticity of the historical plot and the changes of the dynasty rather than the calligraphy art presented by the Bamboo Slips.According to the current academic situation, this thesis attempts to explore the effect of daily writing on the deformation of Chinese characters based on the analysis of the relationship between the lexical forms on the bamboo slips and the daily writing in old days.In this thesis,we try to analyze the origin and evolution of the official script in the period of Qin and Han Dynasties. In addition,we pay much more attention on the“change” in the process of the evolution of calligraphy in that the transformation of the lexical items on Bamboo Slips is originally performed with the word-shaped lines from the song straight, strokes connected by the song side, the word line from the long short, the font structure by the complex Jane, the font from right to left bending Wait.Furthermore, this thesis has also sorted out the calligraphy education and electoral system of the Qin and Han dynasties. It is argued that the performance ofcalligraphy,as an important criterion of the electoral service, promotes greatly the development of calligraphy.Despite the daily work of the clerk and the writing time of leisure are different,it is believed that the motivation of the reform of the characters can be dated back to the daily writing in the work of the ancient officials.Thirdly, this thesis analyzes the impact of writing instruments on writing activities in the Qin and Han dynasties. It is believed that the calligraphy tools and the bamboo sticks have some influence on the deformation of the characters' shape and the process of the change of the ancient Chinese characters is the integrated result of the daily writing behavior and the writing materials.
