The Application Of Note Taking Strategies In Consecutive Interpreting:An Interpreting Report On "Peter Chen:Have You Been Changed?" Of The Voice

As the cultural communication between China and the other countries is growing,the communication and exchanges in the field of public media are increasing.Consecutive interpreting, as a form of translating, is of great importance in cultural communication. Note taking is the most important interpreting skill. The report is the record of a stimulation of consecutive interpreting with an episode of Voice—Peter Chan:have you been changed—as a corpus. The author takes the notes in the interpreting process as examples, analyzes the application of note taking in consecutive interpretation , common problems when taking notes, and finds solutions to them.The selected material is colloquial, related to the field of film and television, and has the research content of note-taking methods, interpretation skills. All the process is analyzed and recorded in detail. It has practical significance for the study of the related field.This paper consists of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. The main contents are as follows:The first part is introduction. The introduction mainly introduces the background of the Voice program, the problems the paper aiming to solve and its realistic significance.The second part is the main body, which is made up of three parts:Chapter 1 is the task description. This chapter first introduces the background of Voice, the topic, then describes the note-taking skills and reasons for the topics chosen.The second chapter is the process description, which analyzes the role of the preparatory stage in the process of interpreting, describes the interpreting process and quality control.The third chapter is the case analysis. In detail it analyzes the application of note-taking, including the specific application of note symbols and methods, and puts forward the problems and solutions.The last part is conclusion. This part mainly discusses the summary of the previous,the main purpose of this article ,which is to improve the quality of translation. Through the analysis of the whole process of consecutive interpretation, we can sum up the experience and lessons which can be used for reference.
