Study On The Character Shaping In The Opera Wozzeck

In the opera,characters bear the important role of expressing the content of the works of drama,is a ruler of measuring the success of an opera.Composers through the characteristics of music give the character life,revealing the rich feelings of the character and figuring out the real three-dimensional character,which presents a huge drama power.This paper chooses the opera Wozzeck created by Alban Berg as the object of the study and discusses the shape of the characters based on the two aspects of drama and opera.Through the two aspects of scripting and music,this paper makes a detailed analysis of the characters in the works and makes a further in-depth and comprehensive summary of the musical expression and the artistic means of characters in the opera Wozzeck.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part includes the first and second chapters:the first chapter is the introduction and the second chapter combs the basic theoretical basis and the creation method of the character shaping in the drama and opera.The second part includes the third and fourth chapters:the third chapter deeply digs the drama image of the main and minor characters in the opera Wozzeck on the basis of elaborating the background and construction of the opera Wozzeck script from the script level.The fourth chapter makes a specific analysis of the works from the music level and understands how Berg’s uses a variety of musical techniques to describe the tone of the characters,shape the image of the characters and deepen the psychological description of the characters,so as to achieve the perfect fusion of music and drama.The third part is the conclusion,mainly refining and interpreting the creative approaches and the performance method of the character shaping from Berg’s in the opera Wozzeck on the basis of the analysis of the previous two chapters,and the artistic value embodied in the character shaping of the opera Wozzeck.
