Outside The Trend,in The Reality

"Low Class writing" seems to be the most obvious literary trend in the literary circle of new century,more and more problems have been exposed after groups of writers join in.As a result,upsurge of "Low Class writing" faded away gradually."Low Class writing" came back to another "highland" until Fang Fang’s《Personal sadness of Tu Ziqiang》appeared in 2013.On the premise that I have rethought the limitations of "Low Class writing",I try to position the "Low Class writing" written by Fang Fang.Fang Fang insisits on"following the heart" when writing,rather than following the trend of "Low Class writing".When Fang Fang meets the trend of"Low Class writing",she possesses her own unique characteristics,which firstly benefit from her writing practice of New Realism period.During New Realism period,the most outstanding feature of her creation is civilian consciousness.This thesis takes《Scenery》as an example,pointing out that with the strong consciousness of civilian,Fang Fang’s novels show distinct features during New Realism period.Firstly,write the survival of civilian realistically with the viewpoint down,showing a strong sense of reality.Secondly,look on with a critical eye,analyzing the present world that besieges the civilian.This two features effect Fang Fang’s "Low Class writing" directly.When Fang Fang enters the new century with civilian consciousness,she pays attention to the women in low social status firstly.She is not only concerned with women sexual experience,but also thinks about female issues with a wide horizon of history and reality.Ying Zhi’s degradation reflexes the complicated conditions of the rural-urban continuum;the tragedy of Li Baoli’s being a "Bian Dan" indicates the stratum differentiation.The living conditions of different women in low social status contain rich social implications.In a word,Fang Fang’s "Low Class writing" shows special feminist consciousness.At last,this thesis focuses on the masterpiece of "Low Class writing" named《Personal sadness of Tu Ziqiang》,which analyzes the "phenomenon of Tu Ziqiang"through close reading,combining the method of cultural study.The indeterminacy on characters of Tu Ziqiang forms "response-inviting structure",calling out the identification and emotional identification of two kinds of New Poor.In fact,Tu Ziqiang’s personal sadness reflects the sadness of our age deeply.Though this novel breaks through the limitation of "Low Class writing" greatly,it exposes its shortcoming of concept-priority.How to express the complex reality in literal ways?It is not only the difficulty of Fang Fang’s literary creation,but also the difficulty of"Low Class literature" and even contemporary literature.
