Fang Fang is a Contemporary Literature writer who has always maintained the feelings of compassion. Fang Fang’s novels contain rich and unique tragic consciousness.The consciousness is reflected in her misery narration on the people at the bottom and the intellectuals、examining the entire universe and tragic life、 inquiring into the soul of human beings deeply and critical spirit、the pessimism of human survival predicament.The tragic consciousness makes Fang Fang reach the humanistic care and the depth of humanity exploring,highlight her strong sense of social responsibility and consciousness of human salvation.So that her novels have a unique set of cultural values and ultimate meaning of solicitude connotation,become an important aesthetic heritage of Chinese Contemporary Literature.The dissertation is based on intensive reading about the text and the macroscopic description,mainly talks about tragic consciousness of Fang Fang’s novels,uses theory of tragedy,feminist theory,text pecific analysis research methods,etc.From three aspects to study the tragic consciousness of her novels:The first part analyzes Fang Fang’s exploration about our tragical world. Mainly from three themes to summarize and perspective her novels:the tragedy of human nature,fatalistic tragedy,the tragedy of the times.Aiming at unearthing the richness,complexity and depth,as well as social significance that covered in her novels,let people appreciate the deep meaning of human nature、history and culture through the survival status of ordinary people.The second part mainly explores aesthetic characteristics of her tragical text. Starting from the tragedy consciousness of its specificity, using comparative analysis method to commene the differences between Fang Fang and other New Realism novelists as well as traditional writers.Trying to make clear three original narrative strategies and means of expression:intellectual’s standpoint of value and feelings,tragedies of poetic philosophy and existentialism performance.The third part discusses the development tendency of Fang Fang’s tragic consciousness. From the tragic connotation,tragic subject matter, the tragedy character three aspects to illustrate the deepening and transformation of her tragedy consciousness,aiming at highlighting the development trendcy of her novels’aesthetic connotation and humanistic care consciousness.
