This paper mainly uses the method of historical geography to analyze the relationship between population movement and social change in Runing Prefecture from the perspectives of immigrants and refugees.Firstly,population movements are closely related to the changes of administrative division.The district of Runing Prefecture has undergone a series of changes and doesn’t stablize until the late Hongzhi era.Secondly,the arrival of immigrants make situation in north of the Runing Prefecture different with south,which is also the special aspect of it.What’s more,the refugee in Runing Prefecture also disturbe its public security at a certain extent,so the central government and local officials have to take measures orderly settle them.In the end,this paper chronologically expounds the influence of the population movement on the local social life from three aspects in the Ming Dynasty: the change of grassroots administrative organization,the development of industry and agriculture as well as the evolution of folk culture.In brief,the process effects of the population movement of the Ruping Prefecture has made a profound impact on local politics,economy and culture. |
