The Poetry Research Of History-nostalgia Of The Vietnam Pre Ruan Dynasty

In Vietnam,poetry chanting history and recalling antiquity plays the dominant role and has witnessed its rise before the Ruan Dynasty which falls broadly into four periods,namely,Li Dynasty,Chen Dynasty,the earlier and mid-late Li Dynasty.The earlier Li Dynasty sees an upsurge in the creation of the poetry not only abundant in subjects ranging from monarch,recluses and memorial temples to historical recordings and allusions,but also enjoying richer forms from traditional regulated verse to long poems and suit poems of large scale.The poetry written in different periods bears distinct stylistic features with the infinite flavor and Zen Buddhist mood imparted from poetry in Chen Dynasty,the awe and passion featuring poetry in earlier Li(黎)Dynasty,while a sense of decay and heaviness characterizing poetry in the war-stricken mid-late Li(黎)Dynasty.Following the suit of Chinese poem,the poetry unbosom the poets through descriptions of scenery and historical allusions with the former being a leading thread and the latter developed in mid-late Li(黎)Dynasty.The poets have their reflections on both Chinese history and Vietnamese history.On the one hand,the poets are either object in their comments on Chinese history or respectful for the Chinese historical figures;on the other hand,they become emotional in looking back on their own past,for example,poetry in earlier Li Dynasty conveys the poets’ strong impulse for national independence and poetry in mid-late Li Dynasty sees poets’ defame on Chinese and regrets on their own defeats during the fights between two sides.
