The vinaya of Buddhist clothes and diet is a direct embodiment of Buddhism inner thoughts,its also closely related with the external social environment.DaoXuan,as the actual founder of Vinaya School,his Si-fen-lv-xing-shi-chao has a far-reaching influence on Chinese Buddhist vinaya.Until today,the vinaya school in China still takes Si-fen-Iv-xing-shi-chao as the pattern.The research of Si-fen-Iv-xing-shi-chao has an important meaning.On the one hand,"Er yi zong bie pian" and "Si yao shou jing pian" in Si-fen-Iv-xing-shi-chao specified the vinaya of Buddhist clothes and diet.Through the research today,its disciplines can be a guidance of monk’s behavior.On the other hand,Si-fen-Iv-xing-shi-chao is inherited and developed from Vinaya in Four Parts,that provides good material for the study of the evolve of vinaya of Buddhist clothes and diet and the sinicization of Buddhism.Moreover,the disciplines in this book intermingled with Chinese traditional culture,not only has riched its connotation,but also influenced Chinese literature,architecture,dress,diet and other aspects deeply.However,there are few scholars studying the vinaya specially and systematically for a long time.In this sense,the thesis studied the disciplines of monk’s clothing and diet parts in Si-fen-Iv-xing-shi-chao,comparing with the Vinaya in Four Parts,to discern the disciplines and rules,and to explore the social and cultural connotation of Chinese Buddhism.The thesis adopts the method of philology research,systematically explained the clothing and diet in two parts,analysed two parts’ inheritance and development of "clothing Khandhaka","drug Khandhaka".On the basis of comparative research,the thesis has explored the relationship between the vinaya of Buddhist clothes and diet and the sinicization of Buddhism.
