A Study Of The Rite Of LAO-TZU Taught In Taoism

LAO-TZU is an important classic of Taoism,In order to promote the Taoism doctrines,Taoists have created many annotations,commandments and talisman based on LAO-TZU.In the Eastern Han Dynasty,Tian-shi Taoism had begin taught LAO-TZU and related commandments,then the LAO-TZU Taught Rite was in combination of position award in the Southern and Northern Dynasties,in some cases,when masters gave the position to Taoists,they also taught LAO-TZU.These words try to figure out the formation and evolution of LAO-TZU Taught Rite,and to further study the LAO-TZU Taught Rite content.LAO-TZU Taught Rite has significance of Taoists' practice,it is also valuable to another classic taught rites.This paper is divided into four parts.The introduction give a brief summary about research value of LAO-TZU Taught Rite and previous studies.The first chapter researches the importance of LAO-TZU in Taoism,analyze the origins of Taoism Taught Rite and research the evolution of LAO-TZU Taught Rite.The second chapter gives detailed introduction of the annotations,talisman and commandments impart with LAO-TZU,especially the commandments and talisman,The third chapter divides LAO-TZU Taught Rite to four procedures-SuQi Rite,Fast Rite and preparation,Taught Rite,and BaiBiao Rite.It has a detailed research of them.
