Susan Sontag once pointed out sharply that photography has been gradually generalized into ordinary life.Although,perhaps she didn't realize that photograph can turn into a kind of “for-all-art”so rapidly,thanks to the help of the fast-developing Internet technology.Especially when entering the age of smart phone,the public has been deeply taken by its camera's charm.Meanwhile,social media also add fuel to the flame and make phone photography a true “for-all-art”.In the era for everyone,when art meets media,sparkling something new,a new combination,new creativity,new task,which brings fresh vigor and opportunity for photography.That is,with the advantage of being in social media age,phone photography is not only a new implication of art,but also,it itself has explored some infinite possibility which may further unearth its self-value.Based on such background,I wrote this paper,by the method of combining theory with application,to analyze the feature of phone photography in the social media age,as well as explore its commercial and social value,so as to exploit its fullest potential for a better society,to better serve the public,as the form of art not anything else.When processing,I used consult literature method,case study,observation and induction in my cross-over study of art,communication,psychology and marketing.However,the development of anything new has both sides.On one hand,it has enriched people's life,created a new way to promote as well as a new opportunity for the industry.On the other hand,it resulted in an overflow of visual information,thus bringing about some arguments on the lack of honesty,privacy and copyright problem.As a result,we should carefully examine phone photography from an overall also different respects,in order to guide to the right track and ensure its long and healthy development.This paper is about carding the mutualism between phone photography and media communication,elaborating the unique art form of phone photography in the media age,exploring its commercial value,probing its unique social value,by studying all of which,we can avoid the negative effect on its development and thus guiding it to a healthy development and becoming a true “for-all-art”.
