The different artistic features are produced when the traditional culture and marine culture are collided.In the paper, taking Songkou ancient town nautical murals as a clue, the angle of the culture of image, combining with field investigation, and on the basis of the background of society and geography, the interpretation of the connection between the image and the society the image symbol metaphor from visual representation, and the inquiry from the image and a furtive glance of the ideas of people into a particular historical period are combined to analyze the history of the image, digging out the concept of murals on the merchant ships and the deep social significance.
