| The folk culture in the book design is generally a more important creative material and inspiration. The designer should absorb its essence and use its artistic language to carry forward the folk culture of our country. Because of the development of the information age, many excellent foreign designs have come into China, which provide a lot of good design resources for the domestic book design. At the same time, we should carry forward the traditional folk culture with the help of the design.This paper mainly from the folk book design process to specific analysis.My whole paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter describes the value of my research and the origin of the "old Beijing" series of books, the significance and value of the design. The second chapter describes how to understand the meaning of the book in a large environment.
