Abstract/Summary:
Gao Xingjian,Chinese-French writer,settled in France in 1988,and formally joined France nationality in 1977.He moved to France for ’Political Asylum’ and claimed himself an ’Exile Writer’.He remained the Chinese culture and life as his main source of creation,so he cannot get rid of the effect of that.But when he left China,his work showed an indifferent attitude on Chinese culture,seemed in others’ identity and vision.His works also rendered out more ’Fled’ tendencies,and gradually trended towards ’East Doctrine’ which catered to the western world.Indeed,every writer has the right to choose the content they want to say,the key is whether he reached the sublime position.Literature is the conscience of society.when a writer in the pursuit of freedom of expression in the process of missing the most basic respect to the national culture of warmth and respect,his literary conscience is out of the question.In this way,his works were closer to the world culture which dominated by the western world culture.This papers is divided into four parts.In the first part,author will discuss the biased spreading of Chinese culture by some overseas Chinese writer,and analyzes these writers’ culture attitude,and summary the ’Culture Identity Theory’ and ’East Doctrine’.In the second part,author will analyzes Gao Xingjian’s work-SOUL MOUNTAIN and his psychology of the attitude-catering to the western culture,and research his ’East Doctrine’.In the third part,author will compare Gao Xingjian with Chinese writers such as Shen Congwen,Lu Xun and Russian writer Sholokhov,and analyze their different culture attitude,and give Gao Xingjian appropriate criticism.Finally the author propose Chinese writer should uphold the attitude in the process of intercultural communication.
