A Qualitative Research On Adolescents Face Concept

The concept of face of Chinese not only could open Chinese culture for other cultures,also an important psychological phenomenon could understand Chinese behavior,face events across all sectors of society exchanges,can deeply understand the demand and psychological state of the individual through the analysis on the face of the event.In the stage of personality development and socialization,young people are in the special stage of psychology and behavior,How do young people think about the face behavior of adults? How does the problem of face affect the social communication of teenagers?This study was conducted in-depth interviews of 21 teenagers,thinking and life encountered in collecting them face to face,and using the grounded theory analysis of the data encoding,influence surface sub events explore teenagers concept of face situation and the adolescent interpersonal communication process and situational factors.In the analysis of the concept of face situation of young people,mainly from the face of the overall understanding of young people,for young people "face" and "mian zi" differentiation,young people on a good face of the pros and cons of cognition as well as young people to face good life stage of the four aspects of analysis.Based on the analysis of the face events given by the young people,we can get the two factors of the internal and the situational.Which belongs to the family,and factors and adolescent self learning,and peer friends and individual characteristics,and situational factors are mainly teenagers face incident involving the object characteristics,individual characteristics and attribution problem situations.The following conclusions are drawn through in-depth analysis of the interview data:(1)Young people can distinguish between face and other important concepts on the whole,and can give specific face events.(2)To understand the extent of "face",the "face" and "mian zi" two concepts,differentiation degree,and the performance of the external differentiation,part of respondents considered the intrinsic link between the two,but not a detailed analysis.(3)In the face of a good understanding of the extent of the face,young people can better face as a dynamic process of understanding.(4)Young people believe that individuals have good face in the event and the age of the stage of the development of the two changes.(5)The factors that influence the operation of the face in the process of teenagers' actual communication include internal factors and situational factors.(6)In the internal factors,the family background,the learning situation and the situation of making friends affect the amount of the face of the young people,and the personality characteristics are mainly influenced by the individual's judgment on the face.(7)The degree of correlation between situational factors larger,adolescents face events involved in object,importance,familiarity and their significant others or involvement in the incident;also have an impact on different occasions teenagers face events,formal occasions more easily face the sensitivity of adolescents,and adolescents due to the event also to some extent affect teenagers face.Based on the analysis of the current situation and the influencing factors of the young people's face,the author tries to give some strategies to deal with the young people's face problems from the perspective of the youth and teachers.
