The auditory narratives in this paper refers in particular to sound narrative which is meaningful.This sound could achieve the relevant artist function.We don't focus on the ordinary talking voice and meaningless noise.Visual culture is becoming more and more developed,the other sensuous culture,auditory culture in particular,is on the wane.More and more people neglect the beauty of hearing which contained in literary works.Literary theory research are always soundless.We need regard the auditory narratives in classical literary works under the background.We will find many meaningful sound and get a chance to feel melody and rhythm.It is necessary for us to place the auditory narratives in the same important position as visual narratives.The Four Great Classical Novels were finished in the Ming dynasty,they are classical representative works of ancient fictions.The four fictions make remarkable achievements on story development,characterization and ideological connotation.The auditory narratives are popular between the four fictions.They are more or less common methods.Every fiction has its own theme and sign of the times,so there are some differences between these auditory narratives.This paper takes the auditory narratives of The Four Great Classical Novels as the core,dividing the chapter to carry the study.One fiction corresponds one chapter.This paper analyze how the auditory works in detail,such as characterization,story development and ideological connotation.The paper tries to make us have a full understanding to the auditory narratives in Four Great Classical Novels.
