The Two Travels—Shuo Mo Ji Cheng and YouMeng RiJi are precious literatures,not only have important historical value for us to know clearly about the 13 th Dalai Lama flee to Khalkha event,but also provides literature basis for us to collect and sort the neighboring countries of Mongolia's ethnographic data.Based on textology method and invoked the study methods of many disciplines,this paper sorted out the following problems and expounded my own opinion.First of all,I tried my best to collect the scattered records about the authors of two Travels in the official and private literatures,and combed the two authors life roughly.Secondly,through research,I explored many details of the 13 th Dalai Lama flee to Khalkha event,which supplemented the omissions of “Qing Dynasty Record” and other official literatures.Also elaborated on the economic burden caused by Dalai Lama flee to Khalkha.Again,I summarized the economic and social conditions of the Khalkha Mongolian region recorded by The two Travels,which is related to the normality of the economic and trade of Khalkha in the specific historical period,the local characteristics of folk-custom matters and Buddhist belief,worship EBo and so on.Finally,I sorted out the unique natural environment and product resources depicted by the two Travels,to enrich our collection and research work for Mongolia's ethnographic data.
