In order to solve the disaster and crisis which was brought by the war to the city of Athens,Plato proposed a series of education Ethics. He put up the Sun metaphor, the line metaphor, the Cave metaphor these three “concept theories”which build a grand theoretical basis. He advocated designing a person's complete education process by dividing into different stages like preschool education, primary education, secondary education, and higher education. And the dividing of four phases' aimed to cultivate the four ethical spirits which are reverence and freedom;courage, temperance and wisdom;the rational spirit of the logos;thanksgiving and justice. His educational ethics also has his characteristics as follows: education being closely related to politics, advocating equality between men and women, looking into the all-round development of people as well as paying attention to the moral education of art.Plato's educational ethics had great influence not only on Europe but also the whole world. And in particularly, the Plato school has cultivated a large number of social celebrities and had specially inspired Aristotle.Plato's educational ethics still have its modern educational implication nowadays, suggesting heuristic teaching method, promoting lifelong education and attaching importance to moral education. But there are three sections we should rethink profoundly in his ethical thoughts.Namely, there existed shortcomings worthy of rethinking, which means it looked down upon the ordinary class, advocated education under the absolute control of country and ignored the completeness of the governors.
