《Dream》 Series Of Female Image Painting Creation Report

Painting of feminine theme is one of the important parts of paintings in Chinese and western painting history.Women’s unique characteristics attract painters to pay more attention to them,and almost every great painting master has created great painting of feminine theme.Female images change as time and social ideology change.This paper tries to discuss female images’ changing course in Chinese and western painting combined with my art creation in order to focus on female images’ artistic expression in contemporary painting and porcelain painting.This paper will unfold as follow.Report is divided into two parts:one is the exhibition of female painting works of “Dream”series,the other is the report on how to create.And the latter is composed of four parts.The first part is the content of market research on painting works of female image.This research is carried out in accordance with the basic requirements of graduate practice report of professional degree.And it not only has an important influence in the basic content and form of my graduation creation,but also provides a possible for my art works to serve the society.The second part is the theoretical research report where author collects a large number of documents to carding and explore female images’ artistic expression in Chinese and western painting and the origin and evolution of female images through different expression techniques of female images in different periods of Chinese and foreign painting art history.The next part is the most important part,which explores the physical characteristics and inherent qualities of female image in several contemporary Chinese representative artists’ works in order to analyze the expressions of painting language.For example,the author does a research on the basic painting factors of the work,such as lines,colors,etc.,so as to analyze how to shape and portray female images and how to express its inner emotion by lively verve.The last part analyzes painter’ awareness of painting female images and the problem while painting from author’s own painting experience.And while emphasizing introspection to the just formalistic appreciation of the beauty,it aims to reveal that painters need cultural literacy and artistic soul in this multi-culture age.At all times and all over the world,female themes are favored by artists.However,with the influence of aesthetic taste and ideology,female images created by different painters haveinevitably differed from each other in the aspect of artistic aesthetics because of different self-cultivation of artists in different times.And this reflects the unique cultural characteristics of painting art.
