A Report On The English-Chinese Translation Of Nouns And Verbs In Sole Survivor

With the high speed development of China's economic and shipping business,China is gradually becoming a big shipping power in the world.However,the current research on maritime English is mostly confined to the conventions,treaties and documents.Though maritime literature is an important medium for promoting maritime communication,there is little academic study in this field.Since there are differences in language structure and communication habits between Chinese and English,it is necessary to make conversion in the translation process.Therefore,the author needs to fully understand the original content,take the readers' reading habits into consideration and use different translation strategies for different contents.By doing so,the quality of translation can be guaranteed.The author translated the first three chapters of the book Sole Survivor and wrote the translation report based on the strategy of conversion in the translation.Through this translation practice,the author has realized the importance of combining translation theory with practice.This translation task is accomplished by following the strategy of conversion.It is hoped that this report can shed light on the translation study and practice of nautical novels...
