Being colonized by Japan for as long as half a century has a deep influence on the development of Taiwan films, and the research of the anti-Japanese writing in Taiwan films is of great significance. The thesis studies the anti-Japanese writing in Taiwan films after 1970s by combination of specific film texts. The anti-Japanese propaganda films in Taiwan in the 1970s have vivid political color and can effectively build the national community of China and dispel the colonial color brought about by Japan. The anti-Japanese writing after 1980s focuses on the common people and emphasizes writing their memories and surviving experiences after colonization. The ethic cognitive level of the anti-Japanese writing in Taiwan films is promoted continually and the focus is gradually changed from national anti-Japanese activities to the anti-Japanese activities of ethnic groups. However, after the new century begins, the anti-Japanese writing in Taiwan films goes lost for a time, which needs more attention of us.
