Diamond Sutra is an important classic of Han Buddhism. Miraculous stories from Diamond Sutra appear with its widespread in the Tang Dynasty. Due to the long time, some of these miraculous stories are missing, but the vast majority of collection are kept in Tai Ping Guang Ji. On the background of Tang Dynasty, this paper from the perspective of history explores the tang dynasty people form and degree of belief in the diamond sutra and adopts the method of document comprehensive combing the miraculous stories from Diamond Sutra in Tai Ping Guang Ji in tang dynasty, then makes an analysis of the religious theory.This Study concludes that:according to religious function, miraculous stories from Diamond Sutra in Tai Ping Guang Ji can be divided into life extension, transgression the dead, to the west, divine power, crime fighting and rescues. Miraculous stories focus on the xuan zong, xian zong, wen zong. These stories mainly come from the bao ying ji, guang yi ji, you yang za zu. They spread all the areas in Tang Dynasty. Its forms of worship include:reciting, transcription, burning incense and pray. Mainly official read them. Miraculous stories from Diamond Sutra permeate the ideas of buddhism karma in people’s consciousness, promoting the spread of Buddhism and the Diamond Sutra.This paper refers to other ancient books and notes novel to analyze the cultural intension behind the miraculous stories from Diamond Sutra. Miraculous stories from Diamond Sutra reflect social problems in Tang Dynasty and popular belief, including internal disputes of Buddhism and Daoism, people violating Buddhism discipline ideas, official crime etc.
