Alone with the recovery of TV documentary industry in China and the increasing support on TV documentary production from relevant governmental departments, TV documentary, as an form of arts of motion pictures, has obtained rising attentions of domestic televisions and commercial production institutions. There have been a lot of fine productions, such as’Taste of China’, "The Great Engineering’. TV documentary drags focus of the public and viewers.This dissertation a daily TV programme of micro documentary in which discussing establishment, organization, style and value of story choosing. Two episodes are chosen to illustrate the method of filming and structure of editing.The author attempts to demonstrate and analyze the current situation and future of development of city television through his experience of working with local television. A typical instance is expected to be contributed to development of domestic TV documentary. Besides, the author hopes to make a reference to practice of documentary making according to review on current work in this dissertation.
