Offenbach is the founder and outstanding representative of French operetta, and "The Tales of Hoffmann" is the crystallization of art during the period of his most glorious stage he has relentless pursued. The "Puppet Song" is the coloratura aria sung by the lovely puppet Olympia in the first act of "The Tales of Hoffman". Combining with professional knowledge, the author comprehensively and deeply analyzes the creation background, plot development, character image and so on, proposing the view that the high integration of mechanization and humanization should be the core of the creation of the image in "Puppet Song". This paper aims to elaborate the grasp of feelings, shaping of the characters as well as the use of singing skills, trying to lift the research on image-building of coloratura aria "Puppet Song" to new heights.
